F+F Basic Wishlist

I don't think I have ever bought anything from the Tesco clothing range but after browsing their sports section for gym trousers I actually came across some basics that are really good value! I am very tempted to place an order! These are the items I love:

So these are just some of the basic items I have been lusting after from, of all places, F+F clothing at Tesco!

The Brits: My Take

The Brit Awards are probably my favourite awards show just because it's all about the music! But I also took note of what everyone was wearing as well (who doesn't...?). This is what I thought - the best and the worst:

Yes:

Caroline Flack:
She kept it very simple (but then I guess she didn't want to stand out too much if 1D were there and after what has happened... But I like the blazer with the white poking out on the sleeves and she has got killer legs so why not whip them out. I also really like her bag - the colours and the print make her outfit a bit more exciting.

Rihanna:
Rihanna performed We Found Love and I thought she was pretty good! I loved the paint in the cube thing she did and I loved her ripped jumper, denim shorts and Timbalands combination. Her hair is a little Tina Turner-esque but she looked good anyway!

Laura Whitmore:
Laura presented the ITV2 show after the Brits and I don't think her and Keith Lemon were that much of a good partnership! But anyway she played it very safe I think in a short black dress but even so I really like it! Her shoes and lipstick brighten it up a lot.

No:

Rihanna (again):
So Rihanna made it onto the best and worst for me! Most other fashion sites were raving about this outfit but for me it is not great. I am just not a fan of the gloves in this outfit. I also do not really like the bronzey-gold colours either. And I also thought her hair in this up-do looked really greasy and just wasn't that flattering at all. Of what I can see of the shoes though: love them!

That's what I thought of the Brit Awards 2012. The show is still on catch up and I'd recommend you all watch it (plus you don't get the breaks as well).

We Found Love

I am a devoted BBC Radio 1 listener and love pretty much every show but in particular Fearne Cotton's. She had Jessie J in the Live Lounge the other day and as well as doing her single Domino she also did a mystery cover. This ended up being We Found Love by Rihanna and Calvin Harris and I loved loved loved it! She sounded amazing and it was an unusual twist on the original. She is also keeping up this no-fringe hair which I am also a fan of paired by red lips and a lovely jumper! Take a listen/watch:

London Day Out, OOTD and Haul

Despite going to London pretty frequently, I never seem to do "the sights" - I either go shopping, or go to whatever I'm there for be it a gig or event or something like that. Yesterday me and my friend Emily went sightseeing around London and then of course being me, did a bit of shopping as well. We also went to the Forever21 bloggers event but couldn't stay long unfortunately. This was my outfit for the day. I know it's plain but I wanted something comfy!

Me being the ultimate tourist outside Buckingham Palace

Top: H&M
Cardigan: H&M
Coat: ASOS
Scarf: Primark
Jeans: Primark
Bag: H&M
Converse: Office
Earrings: Urban Outfitters

Like I said I was going for comfort over style but in the end my feet hurt from all the walking anyway! Typical. Here are some other snaps from the day out:

So we did wander round Selfridges and Harrods drooling over expensive handbags and designer clothes but we eventually found ourselves on Oxford Street and I purchased two things. I had seen this shirt on a girl at college and although I don't usually like to do this, I just had to get it! I also saw this necklace on my friend at the party I went to on Monday, although she has it in gold, and couldn't say no!

Silver Necklace £6.99 from H&M

Rabbit Shirt £12.99 from H&M

Just one last silly thing I got which is delicious...

Marshmallow Fluff from Selfridges (always been a fan haha)

It was a lovely day overall. Had a nice lunch in Pret and an afternoon ice cream in Knightsbridge. Rosie is back tomorrow - yay! Will keep on posting and see you later! I have just realised this was a VERY long post!

Mex Tex or Tex Mex?

I received an email from ASOS promoting various new ranges and deals but one of the features which caught my eye was the 'Mexican Rave' range. ASOS describe the products as taking "a trip down Mexico way with fluro florals, bright patterns and colourful embellishment. Your inspiration? Frida Kahlo self-portraits and El Dia de los Muertos decorations". Here are some of the stand-out pieces for me:

ASOS Pom Pom Denim Hotpants £25

ASOS Mex Tex Print Strappy Playsuit £40

ASOS Multi Arrow Spike Necklace £25

ASOS Helix Platform High Sandal £65

ASOS go on to describe it: "It started as the cool girl’s fancy dress of choice; now Day of the Dead skulls, along with Aztec prints, distressed denim and a heady trip of neon are mixing it up as spring’s most vibrant look. Motif T-shirts and stacks of friendship bracelets are an easy way into the trend, or keep it fresh and team loud prints on tops and dresses with sporty details or flashes of fluoro."

I think it is a really fun collection full of brights perfect for summer and the festival season. I would love to get my hands on even just one thing (probably the playsuit or shorts) and will use my student discount as best I can here! If you are a student, and haven't already, check out https://www.myunidays.com/ as you can get discount codes without having an NUS card! It's great!

Pale Pleats

It was my friends 18th birthday last night so she hired a venue and this was my outfit! As normal I was running ridiculously late (hence the soaking wet hair) but it was a very nice evening. I have also just noticed the severe red-eye so apologies for that as well!

Top: H&M
Skirt: H&M
Jacket: H&M
Tights: Primark
Boots: Office
Earrings: Forever21
Rings: Presents and Cornwall

So it was quite an H&M-heavy outfit! I'm going out tonight for Valentines Day so I will be posting my outfit tomorrow. Rosie gets back on Saturday so she will be posting about her trip away soon.
